why Aaliyah didnot recieve one mention at yesterdays vma awards

while  miley cyrus twerked ,red carpet fashion, trends, laughs, stars and celebritities were carrying on at yestertdays MTV video music awards there was one strange thing that occured that no one seemed to  pay any attention to. Artist ,MTV and coordinaters should honestly be ashamed of themselves. If the platform of awards wouldnt recognize you on the day of your death , in your birth hometown Aaliyah Dana Haughton we will.

The 2013 vma awards were held yesterday August 25th at the Barclays center in Brooklyn ny. The same day Aaliyah took her last breathe and no one not one star not one red carpet host no one inside the culture of music &' hip hop acknowledged her life or legacy at the awards.Aaliyah, was an American recording artist, dancer, actress, and model. And was born in Brooklyn, New York, On August 25, 2001, Aaliyah and eight others were killed in an airplane crash in The Bahamas after filming the music video for the single "Rock the Boat
Known to most as baby girl has been credited for helping to refine r&b and hip-hop. In the 1990's leaving an imprint on the music industry as a whole. Ranked among the elite artist of the 90's her music was special because of her ability to disappear into the music and make her voice match her baseline. With 8.1 million albums sold in the u.s and an estimated 24-31 sold worldwide Aaliyah earned the name princess of r&b and queen of urban pop. In 2001 the year of her death United States social security administration ranked the name Aaliyah at the top of 100 popular names for newborn girls. Also ranked one of the top 40 women of her era by vh1. Top 18 dancers of all time by bet. Ranked 44 then 14 on maxims hot 100, as you can see her legacy is more then a big deal.

The fact that her life and legacy was not acknowledged yesterday in her hometown , is past disgusting .
Shame on hip hop culture
Shame on MTV
Shame on Brooklyn

We love you babygirl r.i.p
